PROJECT MANAGER

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical design, regulatory design requirements, CAD design, project bidding and construction contract administration.

Projects will involve engineering tasks such as conceptual planning, zoning review, grading, site layout, stormwater management system design, utility design and erosion and sediment control design and permitting. Interacting with clients, contractors, and local, state and federal government officials, you’ll impact the entire project from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory permitting and review process, bidding and construction.

  • Drive and coordinate the effective delivery of projects that meet the required outcomes for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with relevant stakeholders including clients, government agencies and allied professionals.
  • Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and training to the team ensuring effective engagement and use of skills, competencies and expertise to drive operational efficiencies and quality.
  • Prepare fee proposals and submissions and contribute to the development, growth and expansion of Walsh Engineering Associates’ portfolio of clients and projects

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of local and state permitting including experience with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, stormwater, Site Location of Development, NRPA, as well as local site plan and subdivision permitting is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with PE or related field.
  • 8+/- years of site development experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficiency with HydroCAD stormwater modeling or other hydrology software
  • Competency with grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, gravity sewers, pump stations and stormwater BMPs

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with PE
  • 4+ years of site/civil engineering experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficiency with HydroCAD stormwater modeling or other hydrology software
  • Competency with grading, drainage, erosion and sedimentation control, gravity sewers, pump stations and stormwater BMPs
  • Understanding of local and state permitting including experience with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, stormwater, Site Location of Development, NRPA, as well as local site plan and subdivision permitting is beneficial
  • Construction administration experience
  •  OSHA training
  • Self-motivated, learning agile and eager to accept increasing responsibilities with an established, respecting, growing company
